The Impact of Kepi 2.0 Air-conditioned Helmets on Productivity
Here are the results of Pilot Study conducted at Assomac Machines Ltd of Kepi 2.0 air-conditioned helmets.
60 employees from Galvanizing department were chosen randomly out of which, 30 were issued Jarsh Kepi 2.0 S helmets and the remaining were issued Normal helmets. They were observed and studied for a period of 3 months and their daily data was captured individually in terms of Productivity, Happiness Quotient and Comfort in workplace. We also observed the number of leaves taken by each worker and the pattern of it.
Detailed analysis was made weekly and monthly and the inference was recorded.
At the end of three months, the study helped us find that we could improve not only the comfort and environmental standards but also the productivity and happiness quotient of each worker. This has a direct impact on the financials of the company.
On an average, each worker produces 9 to 12 pieces/units in a day.
There is a much vivid improvement in the productivity of workers who used Jarsh Kepi 2.0 in alternative to Normal Helmet.
40% of workers who used Kepi 2.0 have produced 12 pieces per day where as only 20% of workers who used normal helmets managed to produce 12 pieces.
It is also clearly visible that the 48% of workers who used Normal Helmets and produced 9 pieces per day were pushed to cross that limit and exceed their average productivity.
All the workers were made to rate their Happiness Quotient on a daily basis on a scale of 10.
7% of the workers who used Kepi 2.0 rated their Happiness Quotient to be 9 and above whereas only 3% of the workers who used Normal Helmets feel the same.
70% i.e. the majority of workers who used Kepi 2.0 rated their happiness quotient to be 8 and above whereas the majority of workers who used Normal Helmets i.e. 63% of them rated their happiness quotient to be 7 and above.
This clearly shows how the air-conditioned helmet Jarsh kepi 2.0 has made an impact on the mental well being of the workers. Happy workers are more productive, more responsible and contribute more at workplace.
The workers were made to rate their Comfort level at work on a daily basis on a scale of 10.
7% of the workers who used Kepi 2.0 rated their Comfort level to be 9 and above whereas none of the workers (0%) who used Normal Helmets feel that level of comfort at workplace.
80% i.e. the majority of workers who used Kepi 2.0 rated their Comfort level to be 8 and above whereas the majority of workers who used Normal Helmets i.e. 83% of them rated their happiness quotient to be 7 and above.
This clear proves the standard of thermal comfort (right combination of temperature, airflow and humidity along with personal control over it) provided by Jarsh Kepi 2.0 helmets.
All these inturn enhance the performance, health and wellness – both physical and mental – of the workers.
The average leaves per month also has come down with the workers who used Kepi 2.0 helmets.
80% of workers who used Kepi 2.0 helmets was regular to work with no absenteeism whereas only 60% of workers who used Normal Helmets was regular to work.
